Ian recently retired after a lifetime in the printing industry as a Production Manager. Now he spends his time split between Search Dogs Sussex and refereeing football matches. He has two border collies, Bear who is a Trainee Search Dog and Quinn who has just started competing in the Britsh Flyball League. Ian does volunteer work at the ABC Animal Sanctuary. He is one of the few northerners in the team.

Life-long Everton FC fan. Enjoys walking the dogs in the Sussex countryside. Gets a great deal of satisfaction from learning new skill sets with SDS and helping inexperienced referees progress their careers.
