Being a registered charity, we receive no funding from the government. We rely solely on donations and sponsorship to keep the team operational. All funds raised go towards providing essential search and safety equipment such as dog first aid kits, radios, and hi-visibility clothing.
There are many different ways to support Search Dogs Sussex.
"Without the amazing individuals and organisations that help support our team we would be hard pushed to provide the service that we do. Any contribution, however small, goes towards keeping the team operational, serving the community, saving lives".
Steve Ball, SDS Chairman

We train weekly and it is important to challenge our dogs and our people in the new training locations. We have a highly ethical approach to the areas we use and fully comply with environmental and conservational purposes. If you manage a large estate or own a woodland and have the grounds you think might suit our team, please get in touch.

None of our members receive any payment for their work. They pay for their own expenses and also contribute to the purchase of the equipment vital for search and rescue operations. We rely on the generous donations of partners and individuals to keep our team operational and welcome any financial support. If you can donate, please press the button below. No donation is too small!
We are one of the UK’s strongest search and rescue teams granted the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service. The strategies we use to train our dogs are unique and our people are proud of the extended set of skills they have. We love telling people about what we do and our dedication to our community.
If you are from the media or press, don’t hesitate to get in touch. We would be happy to invite you to one of our training sessions or open events.
