First Responder in Emergency Care, Search Technician
About:
Aileen is the owner of a working cocker spaniel called Willow with whom she had hoped to spend many a wet and windy night searching for missing people as a qualified Dog and Handler Team. Willow, however, felt that solely looking for humans, when there are so many other mammals (and birds!) who need to be found in the woods, was not the most productive use of her time. Meanwhile, Aileen continued to qualify as a Search Technician supporting our Dog Handlers in training and on Searches. She is also one of two Emergency First Responders on the team, a qualification which has spilt over into her non-search life and she went on to become a Community First Responder with SE Coast Ambulance Trust (SECAmb) supporting her local community with medical emergencies. As a day job, she works as a Healthcare Partnership Manager in a Life Sciences company and is married with two teenage children.
